STOCKHOLM, May 9 (Reuters) - Sweden's Essity ESSITYb.ST has appointed Ulrika Kolsrud as its new chief executive, the hygiene products maker said on Friday.

Kolsrud, head of the company's Health & Medical division, will take on her new position on June 1, Essity said in a statement. She will succeed Magnus Groth, who in January said he would leave his position during the year.
